  1. “Sold Out” ? “It Ain’t Necessarily So !”
For the Saturday afternoon Met HD live presentation of “Aida” the theater at Briar Creek opened a second screen for opera lovers, enabling another 75 or so people – many having come from quite a distance – to enjoy the live afternoon production. The evening “encores” have had small but steadily growing audiences. The Met’s plot synopsis and cast list are provided at the theater, but are also available at the Met’s website in advance for those inclined to do their homework before class begins!

    • It’s great that both local theatres–North Hills and Brier Creek–are supporting the opera audience and offering encores to the Met Live broadcasts. For tickets, in addition to fandango.com, you can also use fathomevents.com or call the theatre directly. North Hills number is 919-786-4511 and Brier Creek can be reached at 919-361-1115. Thanks for the tip to visit the Met website to read more about upcoming performances!
